Privacy policy

Plain and simple: we only collect what we need to reply to you, send you updates you asked for, and understand how the site is used. We never sell it.

Who we are

Workchop is a small studio that builds its own apps. This policy covers our website at workchop.io. If you have any questions, email us at hello@workchop.io.

What we collect, and why

  • Contact form. When you message us, we collect your name, email address, the topic you pick, and whatever you write. We use this only to read and reply to your message. Submissions are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address so we can send you occasional updates about our apps. Our list is managed by Loops.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages people visit, which of our apps they click through to, and whether things like the contact form are actually working. It sets cookies and collects your approximate location (worked out from your IP address), your device and browser type, and the pages you view. When you click through to one of our apps, we also add a tag to the link so we can tell that visit came from here.

We use analytics cookies, as described above. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell your data, and we do not use any of this to build an advertising profile of you. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them, and that request includes your IP address.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with the services that help us run the site:

  • Web3Forms processes and delivers contact form submissions.
  • Loops stores newsletter subscribers and sends our emails.
  • GitHub Pages hosts and serves the website.
  • Google Analytics measures how the site is used.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site uses.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to help you. We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.

Your choices

  • You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in the footer of any email we send.
  • You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@workchop.io.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by using a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts. The site works exactly the same either way.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
